Just fantastic, pop and poured. Fabulous nose with black fruit, licorice, pepper, a metallic note and great sweetness. Normally you wouldnt describe a neuf as elegant, but this feels like that. Rich and sappy with a fine finish with nice structure. Not the longest finish though. Third time i have had this and by far the best showing

California Wine Weekend; 12/1/2023-12/3/2023 (Mos Eisley Cantina & Waterhouse Restaurant): Opened and decanted for about an hour. Intense and rich palate with black raspberry, herbs, garrigue, manure and iron notes. Exotic spice, quite a bit of wood and sweet fruit. The palate is just lacking some freshness for me, but a good look into what Cuvee da Capo is meant to show for Pegau.

Uncorked eight hours in advance, with the hope of allowing the wine to unveil its energetic yet elegant character, showcasing its intensity without overwhelming viscosity. With each sip, the palate is enveloped in a harmonious symphony of aromatic red and black fruits, entwined with a tantalizing blend of spices. The experience culminates in a lingering finish, gracefully balanced by fine acidity, leaving an indelible impression of exceptional quality. Undoubtedly, this Capo is a true embodiment of refinement. Excellent!

From double magnum. Slow ox 6hours then decanted in segments. Wax capsule was chipped cork was exposed maybe why it was browning and allready seemed like fruit fading. Dark fruit little hot not long finish. Had with bbq ribs good pairing. Not as earthy as other chateauneuf. I would drink up.

(Domaine du Pégau Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée da Capo) Fig, chocolate and boysenberry nose; tasty boysenberry, bright cherry and black cherry palate, with depth and concentration; medium-plus finish

Spoiled. May have been cooked during shipping, but a shell of the wine it is usually.
