  Popped and drank over an hour from a decanter. Improved slightly by the end. I think it is in its prime now. Red and purple fruit on the nose with a hint of vanilla and earthiness. Velvety mouthfeel with plum, cherries, and cedar. Tannins still powerful but has acidity to match. I think the fruit may not last past the tannin integration so I'd drink in the next 3 or 4 years.

  I think 92 pts. is dead bang on. Great from the pnp, but gets a little better with an hour of air. Has rich, dark fruit but just lacks a little oomph. That little energy or push that makes it resonate further. Great with various cheeses prior to dinner. The fruit is very dark, with a dark chocolate component. Not sure this gets much better from here though clearly it has more time.

  Fresh dark and red fruit on the nose with licorice some oak. High tannin with med+ acid and high alcohol at 15%. Everything is well balanced however. Drinking well now with decanting with food.
