Quite a bit better than the last outing. Aged cab fruit with a pleasant funk on the nose. Same on the palate, with the addition of menthol, cassis and cedar. Last btl, but I'd drink ralatively soon if I had more.

Initially closed and wood dominated. After about an hour it started to open up. Ruby red color, a little pink/coral/orange around the rim like a Pinot. Cedar, pomegranate, vanilla, maybe a little cherry on the nose. Taste of sour cherry, herbs, maybe a little eucalyptus. Light or medium bodied and acidity driven. Definitely time to drink. better served a bit cool.

Popped/poured. A bit cold initially. Thankfully, 30 minutes in the glass fixed it right up. The high point of this wine is a lovely and aromatic nose dominated by sweaty cedar along with notes of spice and tobacco. On the palate, medium bodied and "ok" balance, though it could use a touch more fruit to counter a fair amount of acidity and some mild tannins. Moderate length on a somewhat sharp finish. While this could possibly go longer given its traditional style , I'm tempted to drink the remaining bottle soon given what could be fruit on the decline. Probably better with food. Recently acquired, its a nice aged wine for the price ($25).

Still has pretty good fruit, but bottle might have been a touch oxidized.

Dark, medium bodied, earthy, floral bouquet, violets and lavender mix with black cherry and blackberry flavors on a moderate finish.
