great balance between new world and old world. nose has typical grapefruit, but with a great wet stone, limestone snd lemon grass palate. great acidity and structure.

Villa Maria Tasting: Pale lemon color. Bursting with aromas of gooseberry, white peach, pineapple, kiwi, along with spicy oregano and sliced cucumbers. Medium-bodied with zippy acidity and juicy tropical fruits (peach, pineapple, kiwi). Notes of sliced cucumbers, dandelion and oregano are woven in well (not too dominant). Classic Marlborough Sauv Blanc but I love the more nuanced flavors and balance style.

As Sejaro stated, this wine is not a typical NZ SB. The citrus is light and there's no obvious grapefruit. Instead it is light and fruity, with a hint of honeyed sweetness- almost like a Gwertz. It’s wonderful paired with roast turkey or chicken and sweet potatoes.

This is a terrific SB. It's not typically NZ because the citrus is light and there's no obvious grapefruit... what there is comes through as lime. There's another component that the label says is passion fruit which we wouldn't recognize, but it's very fruity and pleasant. We will buy more of this one at $11, it's a great lunch wine.
9/9 another bottle, even nicer = 91
