test bottle on recommendation from K&L burg lady... good but didn't come across as well for me as other tasting notes would suggest (my view is Ok QPR, their notes would suggest fantastic QPR)... just a little simple, but maybe that was the elegance they noted

Very inviting on the nose, with quite complex aromas of earth, wildness, blue fruits and some herbs. It is equally inviting on the palate, the entry is with lush fruits, good acidity and lovely minerality at the back. Tannin is there but very well buffered by the fruits. I must say we are fortunate to have a flower day as all wines included this young 2016 showing surprisingly well. Will surely benefit from more age, good potential. This producer made some backward, rather rustic wines in the past but not from recent vintages, more purity and fruits and still true to the origin. What's more important is this Grand Cru is superbly well priced, compared to the sky rocketed prices of some others Burgundies.

Aroma: Indian spices and earthy notes Palate: light and peppery plum and cherry flavors with lashings of minerals. Low to moderate acidity. Meaty and floral notes. Quite complex with very good length. Rather tannic and needs some age. Very good.
