  Wine is still drinking very well here in early 2024. First half hour was still a tad tight and grippy surprisingly. Opened up nicely after couple hours. Above avg lengthy finish. Earthy notes present. Tannins were there upon opening and calmed to a medium polished tone by hour 3. Believe there are many better wines at this price point, but it hit the spot.

  upping my score, and this is improving; palate is getting thicker and wine is beginning to integrate... feeling much better about owning this one now

  very enjoyable... nose is awesome, with nice flavor profile of dark cherry, cola, candy apple, black currant, with very smooth finish; a bit flat on the palate, especially compared to tasting upon release... to be fair, I did not decant 2+ hours again, and probably should have

  Looking at the prior notes, we actually delayed drinking our bottle.
  Perhaps the bottle simply had to age a bit more.
  It certainly was not ready upon opening, but we let it breathe for close to an hour. It became smoother and more balanced over the next couple hours after that.
  We were pleased. Not sure if it was a great QPR, but it was elegant and refined, with a distinct sense of terroir.

  W roast chicken in JH. Good solid Napa cab. Needed indeed all the air it could find. Good fruit, tannins and balance. Decent length. F course good with the dish since all wine works with roast chicken.
