  • The wine is popped, decanted and aired for 4 hours before drinking. It pours a ruby color with a tawny rim and long legs, showing the slightest signs of age. On the nose, the wine is very expressive. There is a concentrated bouquet of currants, brett, mint, spice, burnished leather and soy sauce. On the palate, the alcohol is mellow and the tannins well-integrated, yielding a melange of sweet soy, kirsch, eucalyptus, game and cherries. There is minimal acidity and astringency in the end. But despite that, the finish is of medium length (around 20 seconds) and not cloying at all. Quite a fabulous wine with much poise and finesse. Great wine.
