Belle surprise!A son apogée ou légèrement au-delà, mais très bon à excellent ce soir.
[Used Private Preserve after Day 1]N: [Had been open ~ 2 hrs.] Forest floor, poss smoke, atop blk fruits with some spice. Undertones of pyrazines coming forward with additional air.P: Med body; Swtish fruit on entry which fairly quickly turns astringent on the long finish. Day 2 N: MutedDay 2 P: Astringency down somewhat, though still there.Summary: Though still being sold, I'm thinking this has peaked.
Hey, for what it is that is really great drinking stuff. 16 months in neutral oak. 45% Mourvedre, 28% Syrah, 27% Grenache.
Just gets better with age. A very good GSM blend that really could be from the Rhone Valley.
