Ripe blueberry, soy sauce, liquorice, bacon fat and a little pepper. Enjoyable GSM, great with some Taiwanese food. Needs some air time and mine could have done with being served a little cooler.

Cote du Rhone in style is the idea. Soy sauce in a really good way on the nose. 32% Mourvedre. And more structure and savory on the palate. And again, this is current vintage of this. Apparently an artist rendering of a little conversation. Tough and chewy but in a good way.

Dark fruits, fresh, with the slightest tannins. Short finish/minimal complexity. Drinks well now, but will hold for the next several years, with no obvious upside

With Bill Easton; "structured wines need extra bottle time"; Likes to compare this to a High end CdR Village over a CdP. Think Rasteau. Smokey, meaty Rhone qualities. Vineyards specific site 2200 feet. Sandy, granite site. More fruit forward, less tannin. Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, blend % changes year to year. Mid-weight. Pretty garnet coloring. Mid roundness, with a hint of grit. Black raspberry, mineral and bramble.

I normally love GMS, but this was stale, old and dusty
