Last bottle of a case. Rich and lively on opening. Pears, green apples, apple cobbler, lemon rind, crushed rock, sea salt, and whiffs of tropical fruit basket all flow through the nose/palate/finish. Well balanced and comfortable in its skin, this is drinking nicely now and should maintain for another year or so. Excellent QPR under $20, which is why we buy a case each year. Technical score: 90. Enjoyment score: 92.

Nose of cream, lemon rind, peach and toasty oak. Rich feel on the palate with a good soak of fruit, a nice ring of acid, and a smooth aromatic lift at the back into a clear acid finish. A perfect wine for thoughtless quaffing on a summer evening.

[From a bottle left open in the fridge for a few days] Nose of figs, yeasty bread, lemon oil, a hint of sweet tree sap. Rich spread of fruit on the palate with a round feel, sweet aromatic lift at the back into a long acid finish. Confident broad brush strokes.
