  • Sweet like (or even a bit more so than) you would expect from an Auslese. Not rich or opulent but meeting expectations. We’d buy again, but for our sweet-white-loving friends, not general population folks. For the vanilla pudding that it is, we were happy with the acidity that cut that somewhat. Not tight. Not sophisticated. Not lush, but plush (a softer, less refined richness)… With the chicken & almond dish we had, it was just fine. We have had wines we like less. A solid “B” effort. Probably would make 87 or even maybe 88 from us with time in the woods. We'll grab the next one we see and put it down for 5-7 years...
