Vin plat sans intérêt avec une dominante acide marquée. Pas du tout au niveau de son terroir, à mon avis. Ce n'est pas la première fois que je suis déçu par les vins de Settimo.

Opened two bottles of this with consistently bad results...
This is starting to exhibit oxidative notes of bruised fruit and binned apple that are really destracting....it's possible to drink this but I used one to braise beef cheeks and the other in a pasta sauce....really disappointing.

Popped and poured. Surprisingly approachable and open at the first sip. Good nose of earth, licorice, spices, rose petal, tar and red berry. The aroma was complex but a bit lack of depth. Tannin was firm and solid structure but it's very easy drinking. It's a textbook of an ultra traditional Barolo but not a very outstanding one. I would drink now rather than further cellaring.

Sight: Medium Garnet Nose: Raspberries ,wilted mint, earth. Palate: A bit clunky. Tasty wine but with less finesse than it should have for the price. Slightly oxidised. I say drink up now.

Distinct prune notes. Stored well (~56 F) Unfortunately we still have 2 more.
