  • Distinctly mature, but gracefully so and not quite past it. This is certainly past peak drinking, but rewards lovers of mature Burgundy quite nicely. There's a burnt orange nose behind the nearly faded smoky dried berry fruit. Stately and honest, this is not a great wine, but shows the maturity of the variety very nicely and really adds an interesting dimension to food as there's still enough acidity left to give it some structure.
