  • Completely oxidized. This was bottle number 17 out of 18 purchased directly from the estate in 2017 and since stored under perfect conditions. Having consumed in fairly consistent intervals over the last 6 years, it is frustrating to see the first pre-moxed bottles appearing as early as 2019 and by now it’s pretty much 1 out of 2 or even 2 out of 3 that are clearly oxidized.

  • Nicely nutty aging notes elements complement fresh herbal spice, fresh green apple and mineral notes. Crisp acidity and marginally creamy palate. This was a really good bottle, but the bottle variation is increasing with age here and continue to worry not there are not that many years left.

  • Had this at a social event hence only brief notes from memory. Best bottle in a quite a while. A far more tropical fruit profile than I remembered, adding elements of marzipan and minerality. Rich with crisp acidity, lots of tension. Seems to have sled into a perfect drinking window now with the age providing for a more mature and settled base.

  • Lots of mineral and herbal / vegetal notes with a predominantly citric fruit coupled with tropical, banana and pineapple, flavours. On the palate fresh or rather too fresh with unbalanced acidity, citric fruit and a steely texture, lacking a buttery or creamy mouthfeel that would be needed to counteract the acidic onslaught that intensifies during the finish. Confirms recent bottles - a decent New World chard that is Old Word in style. But nothing more. I really enjoyed this fresh in the bottle (consumed at the estate), but haven't been able to replicate that experience since.
