Tasted at Benvenuto Brunello in NYC. I had tasted this at last year's event as well... and reserved judgement...This does need some time I think. It was better this year for sure, ever so slightly bricked garnet color. The nose has florals, menthol and earthy red fruit (plum?) Well balanced and medium bodied on the palate and quite long on the finish, this should continue to improve and could turn out to be fairly long lived.

Good, with potential for improvement. Tasted in January, again in February, and again in April, this low production (4,000 bottles) wine is fairly primary just now, but it also shows good attention in the vineyards, and cellar, with its many layers, above-average structure and med+ finish. I suspect this could look a lot different/better with 5-7 years of rest; today, a lack of brightness/freshness is keeping it from telling the whole story. Gook, but not so sure of the value. HOLD. recommended
Tasted at Benvenuto Brunello NYC. This single vineyard wine was still quite primary and difficult to judge as I think it still needs some time in bottle to settle down and is currently not yet released. It is quite reticent on both the nose and palate. Medium+ levels of both tannin and acid. Violets, lavender and red raspberry predominate. Finish was awkward and not very long. I think this will end up being much better but will need time in the cellar, but I reserve judgement...90? for now.
