Watermelon in every way from its Kool-Aid-esque color to the nose and palate. The flavor is almost all watermelon until a bit of acacia creeps in. Very simple and linear. It just doesn’t appeal and in that respect it relates more to the 2015 version rather than the oddly appealing 2016. After awhile, it is just too much. A blend of 77% Syrah, 17% Grenache and 6% Riesling. 13.9% alc. 560 cases. With assorted cheeses (triple cream and nutty firm cheeses) and molé. PMB (home for Easter) loves it. 05.17.17. Recommended.
