[SQN Dinner, Table, HK] A true amuse bouche if there ever was one; this hits the lips and palette and teases at what its true nature is. Smooth and delicious, it also had heavier shades of cabernet savignon, slight spice like a Rhone and overall the weightiness of the wine was anything but Rose. Like The Rejuvenators this didnt develop much through the night, easing into a chill mellow spot much later that spoke to its age (8 years in bottle).

They call it a rose, but it's the furthest wine from your typical rose. It looks like pinot. Needs to be served at warmer temperature than traditional rose as well. When too chilled the wine gave me nothing. As the juice began to warm and breathe, the wine's depth became more apparent, although it never really got to a place that blew me away. Perhaps it's past the drinking window. 85

Not your typical rose (as most have commented re this wine). Dark red color making hard to guess this to be a rose on appearance. Nose of overly ripe strawberries. Medium to full bodied, residual sugar is quite apparent, followed by a very brandy-like taste, though not as delicate or refined. The high alcohol level is very apparent. This is a tough wine to like or enjoy, and definitely not for everyone. I enjoyed it for its uniqueness, if nothing else.

I like this less than other sqn roses, alcohol is too dominant while the fruit starts to fade

Not a typical rose but held up well to all the other wines of the night.
