  The palest of yellows color reminiscent of a varietal other than Chardonnay; Sauvignon Blanc comes to mind. Lemon is the most noticeable first impression. Quite acidic, astringent and racy in the mouth -- and narrow -- this wine moves front to back rather than side to side. A tart long finish. Very little sense of mineral, terroir or wood. Steel tank fermentation? A reference point, this Bize reminds me of a Chateau Montelena, which typically does not undergo malolactic fermentation as far as I know. A wine best drunk with food in my view.

  Fruits jaunes, Encore une fois très bien, Belle fraîcheur avec une bonne acidité et une certaine rondeur et richesse mais sans excès. Savoureux et pas de signes d’évolution prématurée comme certaine cuvées de Bourgogne générique du domaine sur 2016 et 2017. 89-90

  quince, lime, white florals, roasted candied nuts, a bit of buttered popcorn. Just great right now. There’s something almost meursault like about it but less creamy and more of an orange rind quality.

  Un beau blanc tout en fraîcheur avec une tension appuyée après une attaque ayant une belle rondeur et une certaine richesse mais sans excès, avec une belle finale sur des fruits jaunes, sans être exotique. Pas le plus complexe mais savoureux. 90-91

  Une couleur assez dorée. Un nez de fruits un peu beurré avec du zeste de citron. La bouche est très belle, pure, fraîche et éclatante, avec une attaque en rondeur mais avec une belle vivacité et une longueur savoureuse et intéressante, j’aime beaucoup. 89-90
