Bright, energetic, filled with wild red berries, violets, and savory tomato leaf. Chalky, mineral soil and racy wild berry acidity provide lift and interest throughout. Long, balanced finish. Excellent!

Nose is earthy with hints licorice and tobacco; palate is acidic but round with notes of blackberry and dark cherry. I would have wanted a bit more complexity here and it is probably not the best value at almost $40 a bottle here in NYC, but it is still a good wine; would pair well with game meats or some heritage (i.e. well-marbled) pork.
