  13% alcohol. Soft wax top. Spectacularly good cork, one of the best that I have ever seen. Light golden colour.
  Lovely nose of yellow flowers both fresh and dried. Very pure and elegant. The mouth has plenty of grip and a winning refreshing quality, with fresh apples in evidence; very fulfilling in a lean but not undernourished way.
  Coupled with a pair of lobsters, the wine was not found wanting, and this is testimony to its substance.
  This producer is a standard bearer for the Mâconnais; pity that the prices are so high.
  In superb condition with at least ten more years in the tank.

  Bu sur 2 jours, mieux le 1er car le lendemain quelques notes d’amertume sont apparues.
  Robe jaune citron, limpide, quelques arômes de réduction à l’ouverture qui se dissipent rapidement, sinon citronné et vif, une bonne acidité qui balance la richesse du millésime. Finale saline.
  Très bon après 1 heure dans le verre, il était au mieux durant les 3 premières heures de dégustation. A boire selon mes goûts.

  13.? alcohol (the back label is damaged enough to leave some ambiguity). Annoying hard wax top, but the cork itself is suberb. Medium to pale colour with cristalline purity.
  The nose evolves a lot through the meal, starting stern, intense and immensely impressive and ending up rich and amicable with yellow fruit and gorse. Excellent acidity at every stage.
  Similarly with the mouth which shows initially a searing intensity that would give many a Chablis 1er cru a good run for its money. Strange to say, I found this wine more impressive early on at about 12-13C than later with development in the glass and increased temperature.
  In any case this wine punches well above its label, but this is reflected in its price. In pristine condition with at least five years of life ahead.
  A repeat purchase subject to a price check.
