A five and a half year old rosé that is not just drinkable, but downright impressive. This is a big rosé: juicy, beefy, well structured; such a joy to drink. Watermelon on the attack with hints of peach and a finish of thyme and other herbs. As the bottle opened, the wine developed more strawberry notes. No better way to usher in Spring than with a bottle of Lagier-Meredith Rosé. My last bottle; so sorry to say goodbye to it. Some tartrates. 13.8% alc. By the terrace fireplace on a lovely afternoon. 03.25.23. Recommended.

No different from the bottle consumed just last month and every bit as good as the last bottle. Unfortunately only one more left. But with the fruit beginning to fade a touch, this is ready to finish up. With assorted crudites and olives.

This rosé always has the most beguiling color, something of a bronze-salmon color; absolutely stunning. For a rosé, the nose is rather big with melon macerated in balsamic … and something herbal as well, maybe basil? At any rate the, the nose is isn’t wimpy or fruit-laden like some rosés. The palate tracks the nose precisely. The wine is round and the finish lip-smacking good. This is always a joyous wine. Some tartrates. 13.8% alc. With leftover pork ribs. 05.30.22. Recommended.

I don’t know what it is about L-M Rosé that PM and DD don’t like, but neither likes it as much as I do. Perhaps it’s the structure of the wine; definitely not you Aunt Ila’s rosé. Once again it’s the color of pickled watermelon juice; just this side of peach. The nose is more peach, strawberry and balsamic with herbs (rosemary and tarragon?). A unique rosé unquestionably. Full bodied for a rosé to be sure. 13.8% alc. With a portion of country ham (pork) sandwich for mid-afternoon after returning from the office and prior to dinner. Recommended.

TN: Charity Tasting (Ramey, Massican, Pepiere, Patricia Green, LdH, Idlewild, Bedrock, Riverain and more): Vibrant pink color plus vibrant red fruit meant vibrant drinking by the group. Gone in a flash to smiles all around.
