One hour decant. Deep purple color. Nice aromas of blue and black berries, vanilla, earthy spice and floral notes. Medium bodied palate of black fruit and stone fruit, minerals, spice and cedar. Integrated tannins and mild acid lead to a long finish. Drinking well.

Definitely benefits from time in the decanter. After a few hours, the fruit shines through very nicely, tannins smooth and silky. Paired well with a fall meal of cheesy onion pie, roasted squash and sausage.

For the price, this was certainly disappointing. Red fruit, almost fruit like a ripe cru Beaujolais, which was surprising. Tasted a little under-concentrated. Good, but certainly not great. Purchased at the winery after tasting and had hoped for better.

Bright garnet ruby colored, it was medium bodied and did not have a firm gripping backbone structure expected watching the glycerine legs cling to the glass, the polished elegant tannins were so smooth and silky that it made for enticing casual sipping - bright red and black fruits accented by notes of creme de cassis, spice, tobacco leaf and subtle vanilla and oak.
Enjoyed this cabernet a great deal. Excellent fruit and concentration in an admirably old world style with Medoc-like green notes lending complexity to the Obelisco vineyard fruit.
