My first sampling of the red of this property.....love their white! On nose:( after a 3 hour decant) Notes of smoke, cassis, tobacco and a ghost of eucalyptus. On palate: clean bracing tannins, which have loosened just enough , to allow the complex notes of bell pepper, soy sauce, mesquite charcoal, tart blackberry ( as well as the above notes on nose) to make themselves present ....notes of lead pencil and plum skin are also evident as it warms up.....a great food wine, lean and full flavoured Pessac commune . Will cruise nicely in cellar for another 10 years...but went well with Pork loin roast , basmati rice and winter vegetables, for quiet New Years Eve dinner.

During a 2017 en Primeur walkabout tasting. Once of the overachievers of this tasting, a highly aromatic nose with leather, dark fruit, game, toast, forest. Will be good, great QPR here as well.

Elegant, soft and polished, the fruits are fresh, lively and sweet. From start to finish there is a good energy radiating from the smoky red fruits.

Opulent ripe red plums, hint of bell pepper with some barrel notes. Medium body and sandy tannins. Lacking elegance. LA UGC Tasting.
