Served by the glass. Another bottle that improves in 2006 compared to 2005, such as La Dauphine in Fronsac. Some say it remains excessively marked by the aromas of the cabernet, green pepper, but I think the best is yet to come. The palate is elegant, concentrated (modern), balanced and digestive. Ready to be enjoyed now but can only get better.

Update: had from bottle a few days later. At first, this is disappointing, with slightly plastic-tasting primary merlot fruit with a slightly green edge dominating; given an hour, however this rounds out nicely into a very decent entry level Graves - with the smoke/mineral elements coming out as the fruit melds with the other elements here. Nothing special, but decent example of the appellation, and enjoyable after given enough air. Tops out at 87-88ish level in flashes.
2nd update: the more I taste and retaste, the more an astringency comes out, the less than high quality of the fruit shows, and the oak treatment comes off as off-puttingly sweet and somewhat plastic tasting. Downgrading accordingly.

Nice aromas, but still extremely tannic. Give it another few years.

Medium bodied, almost light weight, soft textured, smoky, earthy, red berry oriented wine that is ready for its prime time appearance.

2006 Bordeaux Tastings; 10/24/2009-11/1/2009: Estery banana bread and earth on nose; palate has rock and full decent fruit on palate. Good QPR. 85-87.
