  • Drank 2017 Clos Badon last night and saved a bit for tonight, this wine is 14.5% abv, good fruit, tannic, a bit lighter than the Badon including the wine color, full body, drank easily, Badon had more fruit, less tannic, more dense and not as easy to drink, drank with lamb kabobs, eggplant, hummus, and spinach pie, bought from winery, will drink again, interesting comparison of Thunevin wines.

  • Drank the last 4/5th of Coravined bottle, great bouquet, dark color, full body, a bit grainy tannins, drank with ribeye and strip steaks with baked potato, 14.5% abv, a big wine, lots of flavor, good balance but still young, will drink again, a good value.

  • Drank with 2019 vintage, Coravined both and ended up drinking more of the 2019, th2 2019 wine is plush, good fruit and smooth tannins, this wine was plush, good fruit with a bit more emphatic tannins, both had excellent bouquets, drank with rack of lamb, hummus and spinach pie, the 2019 was easier to drink at this point in time as the 2017 might need more time to smooth out, will drink both again.

  • 94pts.

    100% new oak.

Appearance: For a 6 year old wine, the color has faded quite a bit.

On the nose, plum, ink, spice (rosewood), wet stones, ripe fruit, vanilla, cedar, and oak.

In the mouth, this is quite nice! Full bodied, well-balanced acid and tannins that are never harsh. The oak is quite present but the juicy black fruits come through. This comes across as fresh, balanced, and quite complex. The finish is long and fresh, high notes of burnt sugar/fruit.
