Second time with this one. Coming off as a bit bigger and broader than on release. It has lost some elegance but is still a remarkable and pure wine. Definitely not worth the price though, I'm afraid to say.

La Fete: Lunch w/Vincent Laval (Frenchette): Interesting - there's more age here than I would have expected between the '12 and '13. More brioche and lemon. Very elegant and fresh. Reminds me a lot of a rockface. Very nice.

Disgorged 16 Jan 2019, brut nature. The nose is wonderful, full of flint fruit and energy, some aged notes, stony minerality. Intense and sour palate opens up with some air, very focused, sharp and directional. 94

La Fête du Champagne Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty - New York NY): Walk around tasting. Mostly Pinot Noir, some Meunier. Floral and spice start with a complex array of berry aromas and flavors. Brilliant textures, this starts out rich and fleshy, then finishes leaner and brighter through an amazingly long finish. One of the best Champagnes I have had in a long time. My first real experience with Laval, and I am thrilled with these wines, especially in context of their low/zero dosage. This wine truly stunned me, but then I was told its price.

04 Juillet 2019. Savory, mineral, reticent, a very sophisticated wine with very clean pear fruit. 93-94
