Opened and lit sit and air for 60 minutes. Consumed over 2 hours. Nose of blackberry, leather and pepper. Still bright fruit of strawberry, blackberry and smooth white pepper. Sub $20 and quite a nice QPR find.

Northern Italian Whites and then Syrahs - Controversy in the tasting Group: This is available locally for $15 and that is a great QPR. Ruby in color, and the most transparent wine on the table. The nose had an odd pickling spice quality in addition to the black raspberries and leather notes. A bit of oak on the palate, but plenty of fruit too. Slick and juicy texture. Very nice showing.

Nose: Big red fruit. Heavy on the blackberry with coffee, brown sugar, forest floor and vanilla. Very nice nose. Taste: plum, cassis, orange zest, a little coffee and cloves. A smooth, well balanced wine with great QPR. A long finish with raspberries for days.

This has great fresh berries, subtle smoke, black tea, and crisp, tart long finish. Marvelous QPR
