Brick red core, bricking orange at the edges. Woodsy, earthy, and mature aromas of cherries and raspberries, conifer and pencil lead, meat and oyster shell, touches of tamarind, dried herbs, and leather. Mid-bodied, youthful, and tart, red berry palate. Displays good intensity, with a spicy edge that frames fresh acidity, a graphite mid-note, and a tannic, tactile finish that picks up a mouthful of saladitos and a dash of red pepper flakes. Cherry fruit lingers on the aftertaste.

Restrained aroma of violets and lilies. Delicate flavors of strawberries and honey evolve into a buckwheat honey finish. Nice wine, lacking soul, and at over $30 not a bargain - but that's still a fair price for a Burgundy of this quality.

Very nice wine, tasted as expected, paired with charcuterie.
