  • Here I am drinking this wine 17 years after the vintage, but it tastes more like it's about 10 years old. Plenty of fruit with good dept and surprising acidity. I expected to pour it out as while I bought it in 2008 and kept it in my cellar for 12 years, it has not been properly stored for the past 3-4 years. No flaws or faults, I thought it was very nice.

  • - Ruby color with slow forming legs and aromas of raspberry, cherry, mushroom and tea. It's balanced and has flavours of cherry with a medium body. Smooth texture with a short finish - Decanted 30 minutes. Drinking really well. Cellared perfectly, drink now though.

  • Great spices, perfect bottle age for this village wine. Very impressed. Deep, balanced. Gives me very high hopes for the 1er cru's from Jadot in 05.

  • 13.5% abv. Garnet color, clear rim. Bright cherry, pomegranate, spicy wood, healthy amount of tannins, saddle leather, earthy mushroom; fruit on finish gets clipped off early but the tannins and acid keep it going. Decent wine, will last another 10 years easily - would like to try it then...

  • Purchased on release. Village wine at its best. This wine is ready, but will be delicious for a few years. No need to decant early. Pop and pour. Classic Gevrey nose. Earthy, dark cherry on the palate. Very succulent and juicy. Of course, a village wine can never have the broad mid-palate or long finish of a Premier or Grand Cru. But sometimes a great village Bourgogne does the trick.
