On day one a leafy nose with crunchy red fruits, pepper, iron, and savory notes. Midweighted, well balanced, a little rough hewn texturally, but I like it. It has a firm acidic spine. Finishes with more red fruits, savory pepper and ferrous notes on the back end. A little pointy elbows but enjoyable.
Day two this has settled down quite a bit. It's more integrated, with more savory leafy varietal notes, some bitter chocolate, and the fruit turning more toward stone fruit. Overall a very good, if not entirely memorable wine that speaks of its place. I'd love to drink this (at least how it showed on day two) with some simple bistro fare.

Ripe, cherry and even mocha on the nose. Medium acidity, fine tannins. Very nice, but I wouldn't recognise this as Loire blind, neither could the people I drank it with.

Bright red and dark fruits, nice acidity with some iodine on the finish.
Paired very well with French Lentils…. Very glu-glu
At $25 I find great QPR

Same as before, just a bit faded. I think these need drinking up soon.
