Weekly tasting group #188; Fully blind test plus 3 extra wines (@ DJ): In the bouquet rust, chocolate, oak, smoke and a touch of barnyard. On the palate chocolate and mocha, also some celery and still some red fruits and bell pepper. Good acidity and soft tannin. This bottle has probably been stored a bit too warm and the wine is at the end of its maturity stage. Tonight it was still a real pleasure to drink.

This is the last of four bottles. This bottle was less enjoyable than the other three. When first opened there were definite overtones of tar and some of the fruit had left to be replaced by an acid predominance. It was OK but not a wine I would seek out again.

taste: chewy tannins with a medium/full feel and balanced tones of red fruits, red cherries, herbs and currants
overall: A very nice wine. Well balanced and young, this should be rather nice with a few more years on it. Has good aromatics right now, but the tannins take over too much on the palate at this moment

This is a delightful wine. The color is dark red. The bouquet is not pronounce. It has a pronounced flavor of raw wood, but intead of standing out the flavor adds backgroun to a nicely fruit forward wine. It is young, but very drinkable.
