Haut couture. What a complex, nuanced, multi-layered affair. There is still some prominent oak, but it doesn't intrude too much. Left alone for a few hours, and served at closer to cellar temperature, it really unfolds. There are a lot of tropical notes, zippy citrus galore, and firm mineral core and taut acidity that keeps things in check. Beautiful already, it is sure to continue improving for some years.

Aroma: petrol and almond blossoms. Gardenia. Lime zest. Herbs. Palate: nicely balanced citrus flavors with tarragon, minerals and nuts. Good complexity and acidity.

These wines clearly need time - as the oak is rather prominent on the nose here, with sweet vanilla covering the ripe yellow peach and floral notes. The mid is ripe and rich, with broad palate offered by the oak. Ripe tropical fruit, but balanced with good acidity. Even after being open for several days, it showed little development. Lemon custard on the palate is quite nice and there is a hint of peach on the back but it is currently masked by the power of the oak influence.

Smells a bit musty. Cork? Behind that there is bright exotic and citrus fruit.
