A dinner with friends at 67 Pall Mall: £145/bottle. 70% Sangiovese, 30% cab sav. Age has integrated this and tamed the acidity into balance and intensity. Coffee husk, smoke, leather nose. Leather and age, mellowed fruit (fruit leather), savoury. VG.

One of the very best wines I tasted all day in a room of 400+ (mostly red) wines. Gorgeous mature light-bodied red wine with utterly seductive complexity. RRP £95 is expensive, but put this classy and interesting red up against a top-notch silly-priced Claret and this would seen very good value for money indeed.
T.....Wow, rare to get a mature high calibre red at a tasting. Leathery, with rich fruit, smooth and mature, hugely interesting. Warm and savoury, good acid too - still! This is class. Definitely couldn't spit this, it's one of those 'slide away into a room on your own and just giggle as you drink it' wines. Drink up, no point in further cellaring.
VFM?.....it's £95.00 RRP yet oddly I think it's worth every penny. The kind of wine you want your wine club to share-buy and serve.

My last and best bottle of this wine drunk with Spaghetti. Muted fruit and good acidity make this wine best with food.

C.....tawny at edge. Body light-medium only.
N.....intense mocha, espresso, wet forest leaves, smokey wood, dry leather, charming and complex.

These bottles are not opening in good shape. Well past prime.

I think this bottle didn't age well - all milky acid with no fruit left.
