  • This is heart-warming (although drunk cool) complex Sauternes with all the components in the right proportion: fascinating bright golden color, aromas of peaches, apricots, pineapple and a sweet taste with a lot of botrytis, a refreshing acidity and a long finish of more than 30sec. This is a real treat! This wine can still be cellared for many years while gaining complexity, but is already irresistible right now
If you know that the first Sauternes I drank (on my 17th birthday, there was less concern about acohol consumption among youngsters in those days 🙃) was a Château d’Yquem 1949 you will understand my everlasting fascination for these wines. What a pity that they are completely out of fashion nowadays. I sincerely hope that they will not become an extinct species like the dinosaurs, but will rather, like the phoenix, arise from there ashes in the future.

  • Excellent wine, fresh notes of citrus fruits mixed with honey and white flowers, excellent acidity, concentration and overall balance. This will have many more years but now is already delicious so do not wait and try if you have.

  • In smell candied tangrines, apricyotes, pineapple and white flowers. Smell is intense, concentrated and fresh and makes WOW effect!
On palate wine is mild, broad with oily texture and high glicerine. Beautiful balance of fruty sweetnes ( candied fruts), concentration and accidity. Feeleing of energy and intensity of young Sauternes. Aftertaste which is delicate sweet takes half a minute. Fantastic wine.

  • Supper with friends (Chez nous): Wow. Very intense, youthful lemon oil depth to this wine both on the nose and the palate. There is some unctuous tropical fruits here too - Alphonse mango methinks. The first time I've had a Sauternes that I think I've gone for too early. Definitely did here. But this looks like it will be excellent in a year or two.
