Medium garnet, Concentrated and structured. Blackberry, plum and white pepper on the nose with vanilla on the back end. Good quality-price. Medium to full bodied, medium tannins and acidity. NI:3, FI:21,FC:8, B:3, F:3

Easy drinker, fruit forward, dark jam. Not a lot of tannins and very food-friendly esp tomato-based like pizza or pasta. Doesn’t really hold up to red meat but did well with sausage/pork. Another comment mentioned a bit sweet. I can see that, but I think that’s the fruit aromatics and glycerin not the level—it’s definitely dry. There might be a touch of another grape in here, perhaps PS, which seems to be the trend in Amador County. Good QPR at $14-16/btl This is the entry-level of three (some years four) Sobon Zins: Rocky Top, Cougar Hill, Fiddletown. Each gets a little more body and fruit-forward, and a couple more $ per bottle. They’re all good and made to drink now.

Everything I could want from a fruit-forward Amador Zin.

Packed with flavor, but not overdone. A good example of California Zinfandel at a fair price. Drink now.

An outstanding Zinfandel of immense proportion, with very inviting romas and flavors. Rich and satisfying with a long and velvety finish.
