Light in color with a slight brown tinge. Surprisingly light bodied for a Nebbiolo. Notes of cloves and cherry. Gets better as you savor it over the evening, with nuances gradually appearing.

Getting better…. The brownish tint and rose petal note no longer appear. Maybe there’s bottle variation that accounts for the difference.
2/13/2022 Note: Starting to color a bit brown, with the nose kinda reductive. All else is still young enough. The red berry and wet stone flavors are fresh, the balance is good and fine tannins all complement each other. The finish goes on forever. I’d go with more points but for a rose petal(?) flavor that doesn’t float my boat. 90 pts.

Smoky, toasty, cherry, blackberry and tar. Palate is savoury, charry and red fruited - mostly about the structure still. Good length and fine tannins and acidity.

Typical Barbaresco elements with roses, dried herbs, tart crushed cherry, truffle and vanilla accents. Light and elegant with a tart berry finish. Dry tannin. Linear and focused with crisp acidity. Stylistically traditional in stature. Drink 2023-2028.

Nothing wrong my problem, and it is mine, is that i really struggle to love or even like this style of wine. Whilst the wine is well made with no faults Nebbiolo is my Achilles heal unless it is more full bodied and Oakes in the style of traditional Barolo . This is not. I see no reason if you have this wine to not drink it up.
