Decanted just before drinking. Orange, almost like a tawny but no brown hue. Another pinot lover’s dream. Very aromatic, candied cherry cake and fresh meat at the same time. Acidity brings yet some freshness. A real pleasure to drink now.

Medium garnet, quite deep for the variety, turning to brick on the rim. Nose is fully developed and fragrant. Still has fruit, cherry and strawberry marmelade. Forest growth and mushrooms. In the mouth it is medium bodied, alcohol is 13.5% but does not show. Acidity is medium + but well balanced by the fruit. Marmelade notes of strawberry very evident as is the forest floor, hints of licorice and tar. Beutiful Pinot, very ripe fruit, and good balance between freshness and ripeness. Surely the best Pinot from Alsace I have ever tasted.

Light, translucent, tawny. Meaty nose, caramel, becoming fragrant with vague fruit. Fairly typical pinot noir taste, reasonable balance, at or past its peak, medium length
