Dinner at The Anchor, Ripley with friends celebrating their wedding anniversary. Limited notes. Verging on the excellent. Extremely smooth, with floral hints and very dense red berry fruit concentration. Not sure that is is typical Fleurie but really nice nonetheless!! For drinking over the next year or two. 89+

Red fruits, red roses, earthy and slightly musty tobacco smell. Medium + tannins and medium acidity. Medium finish. Not too crazy about it, and wondered if tye bottle wasn't the best.
Edit: having finished the second third of the bottle, I noticed the fruit is rather faded. Not sure if this is a style, but it's mostly dried fruit and a particularly dry finish.

Open last night. Another impressive Beaujolais-I am on a hot streak with this region. Lovely medium-dark red-Ruby. Plush, floral nose jumps from the glass. Velvety, jammy boisenberry in the mouth. Tremendous value for the money. 5-12-17-8: 92/100.

It’s on the fruity side with a nice acidic backbone.
