More complexity and potential there than expected. Anxious to try this again on day #2. Much softer and more approachable on Day #2. Would wait another 4-5 years on this one.

Had at a free tasting @ Gary's in Madison NJ. Very aromatic and perfumed on the nose with cherry & cedar notes. On the palate cherry and blue fruits, cedar with the oak integrated. Very tasty with a long smooth finish. Cousin Pudge loved this style CA Cab and was a treat to sample.

Finally decided to give some '17s a try after holding off a few years. Day 1 started out with hefty notes of vanilla and blue/black fruits, but these mellowed into a predominantly red-fruited, well integrated tannin experience on Day 2 - which I preferred. Plenty of time to go, so looking forward to seeing how these evolve. Will check in on the next one in about a year. Drink with a long decant or hold.

Fantastic 2017! Popped and began to drink after two hours. Improved after additional 2 hours. Crimson red in color. Blackberries and black cherries on the nose. Dark cherries and spice on the palate. Long smooth finish. VV proves you can still produce a quality wine in a down year.

Deep ruby color with slow legs. After a couple hour decant, strong nose of oak and cassis with blackberry fruit. Toasty on the palate with some black cherry, plum and baking spices on the back end. Very long leathery finish. Drinking well for a young wine and should hold up for quite a few more years.
