  Ripe plum, very fruit forward. A little dense. Heavy and long finish. Tasted at a Reserve Tasting at Bin 415.

  Optik: Klares, intensives rubinrot
  
  Nase: Sauber. Ausgeprägte Aromen von Brombeere, Cassis, Zedernholz, Vanille, schwarze Kirsche, Schokolade. Erste Reifenote.
  
  Gaumen: Trocken, mittlere (+) Säure, hoher Alkohol 15%, festes nicht raues Tannin, voller Körper mit intensiven Aromen von Brombeere, Cassis, Schokolade, Zedernholz, langer Abgang.
  
  Ausgezeichneter Wein. Der Wein ist aromatisch komplex, hat Druck und Fülle. Säure und Tannin halten sich gut die Waage, wobei das Tannin noch Zeit braucht. Kann getrunken werden, hat noch 3-5 Jahre Reifepotential und weitere 3-5 Jahre Lagerpotential.

  Auge: Klare, dunkles purpurrot
  
  Nase: Sauber. Mittlere Aromen von Cassis, Brombeeren, Minze, Vanille, Zedernholz. Erste Reifenoten.
  
  Gaumen: Trocken, mittlere, runde Säure, hoher Alkohol 15%, festes, qualitativ hochwertiges Tannin, aber noch rau, mittllerer (+) Körper mit mit mittleren Aromen im schwarzbeerigen Bereich, langer Abgang.
  
  Sehr gute Qualität. Wein ist schön balanciert, hat viel Druck am Gaumen und einen langen Abgang. Aromatisch nicht ganz so vielseitig und eher verschlossen. Kann getrunken werden. Die Tannine sind aber noch ziemlich rau und deuten - zu zusammen mit dem guten Säuregerüst - auf ein Reifepotential von 5-7 Jahren hin, anschliessend weitere 7 Jahre Lagerpotential.

  Nearly three hour decant. Very deep dark intense purple-leaning magenta color. Black currant, plum, baker’s chocolate, basil, and orange rind. There’s also some subtle shortbread and minerality. Dry palate, with nice, fine acidity. Firm, yet plush, tannins on the longish finish.
  
  This is a touch dark and brooding, which is not some people’s style. There is impressive complexity for an “entry level” CS, but this is priced like a single vineyard for many Napa wineries. Bottom line, I dig it. ;)
