Chinese Wine Tasting: Wine 6: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot. Aged in new French oak for 12 months. 16,500 bottles produced. Medium to dark ruby. Dark fruit, dark cherry, black currant, spices, hints of cholate and mint as well as mild balsamic notes on the nose. On the palate, the wine showed sweet fruit, blackberry, black currant, dark cherry, coffee, chocolate and spices as well as herbal and ethereal notes, with supporting acidity, ripe, smooth tannin and very good length. The alcohol was warming but in balance. Sweet, soft and smooth. Broader and sweeter than the prior wines. Dangerously easy.

Fine Wines SG - Burgundy Dinner - Nuits vs Beaune vs Chalonnaise (Praelum Wine Bistro): Started intensely fruity of cassis and raisins, yet with clove spices and greens, then later it goes into minty, peaty notes and Sichuan peppercorns, and then caramel and butterscotch. Infinitely complex, and kept evolving. I am totally bowled... Fabulous!

Very balanced for the ABV. Dark fruits dance with oak.
