The balance of the bottle we opened on 2/14 that had been poured into a 250 ml screw cap bottle with no air. This TN is identical to that previous one and confirms that we prefer our aged White Port a bit less intense. We do have one more bottle in our cellar.

An intense yet round palate of dried fruit, toffee, hazelnut, some spice and citrus notes of orange zest and a touch of grapefruit. The acidity is sharp but needed to keep the sweetness in check. The finish lingers, with a burnt sugar note. This wine should hold for some time. Served PnP, chilled. Overall, although we are great fans of White Port, this was a bit too intense for us.

2022 Port Harvest Tour; 9/22/2022-10/2/2022 (Porto, Portugal): Bottled in 2019. Amber-orange-yellow in color, this White Port features notes of butter caramel, tropical nuances, and roasted nuts on the nose. With a very smooth and complex entry, the palate bursts with golden raisins, rich honey, and a beautiful complexity of tropical fruit. It has bright acidity and a long finish.
