My last bottle of not only this vintage, but of this cuvee from Rochioli. Basically a pop 'n pour, and I shared this with friends. It was a big hit. More Burgundian than a lot of CA pinots. Medium+ length finish.

Thought this was much better than the 2012 Williams selyem same vineyard I tried recently. This was fruity while having depth and complexity. The fruitiness and sweetness was appropriately restrained. Was solid with the jura chicken and morels.

Pinot Noir night with my wine group. We had in order: 2017 Alain Hudelot-Noellat Nuits St. Georges Les Bas de Combes, 2018 Domaine Drouhin-Laroze Gevrey-Chambertin en Champs, 2021 Torii Mor Pinot Noir Reserve Deux Verres (WA State), and the 2017 J. Rochioli Pinot Noir Russian River Valley. The Rochioli was the group favorite, followed by the Drouhin-Laroze. I thought this was a little bigger and a touch less elegant than previous Rochioli Pinots I have had in the past.

Light red. Brambly, cool whole cluster nose. Light to medium weight. Definitely stemmy but it also has riper, chocolatey notes and a bit of cola. Interesting wine.

Had w friends - red fruit flavor profile that everyone enjoyed, not super complex and I don’t see it improving a lot, but very enjoyable nonetheless
