Thirty minute decant. Deep dark ruby magenta color. Plum, dark chocolate, raspberry, dandelion, river rock, cast iron skillet, and subtle coffee. Very dry, smooth palate, with nice, chalky, center of the tongue acidity. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish.
This is very solid for the money (excellent QPR). It paired extremely well with my entrecôte at Aromebase in Lille.

-- decanted approx. 1.25 hrs before initial taste -- -- tasted non-blind over 1.5 - 2 hrs. --
NOSE: expressive; rich, dark red fruits; a bit earthy; not funky; not overly oaky.
BODY: medium bodied; dark garnet-violet color of great depth; some sediment in the bottle.
TASTE: fine, drying tannins; medium acidity; a bit oaky; dark red fruits, veering a bit into the purple part of the spectrum; earthy black cherry and boysenberry; clean, ripe, but not overblown; 13% alc. not noticeable; great QPR at $19. Gut impression score: high 80's. Will buy again.

Drank over 3 days, mostly with tri-tip, air-fried broccoli, and mac&cheese. Also one day with smoked trout.
It’s a deep purple with just a hint of bricking at the edges. Also, some sediment towards the bottom. Dense, dried, fruit like plum, prune, and date. There’s also a bit of pepper here, and the tannins are light and integrated. Alone, the acidity is noticeable enough, but isn’t quite enough to cut the bark of a tri-tip.
Overall, this is in a good place and a hard to beat value for drinking over the next few years.

Excellent value at this price point. Beautiful fruit, intense. Cassis, plum, cherry... A preview of it's big brother in the coming years.
