Medium bodied Hunter Shiraz with good complexity and interest. Good length too for a ‘lower level’ wine. Be interested to see how the second half is tonight

Left half a bottle under vacuum seal for 4 days. Dark crimson colour, powerful aroma, dark sweet berries, stewed plum, tar, blackberries, cherry. Plum and blackberry on the palate, persistent grainy tannin, balanced acidity. Not bad for $17, I worry about wineries entry level wines, multiple batches can lead to high variations, but this one has done well. I have a bottle left and am confident to leave it for a few years.

Requires some time to breathe, plain and a bit sharp when initially opened. On the second glass woody hot aroma. Smooth, good medium plus body, lively acidity keeps it fresh. Enjoyable wine for a reasonable price.

Ripe Fruit, hint of black pepper, cleansing acid, balance, Leaning to N. Rhône. Drinks great day two and three. Remarkable basic Shiraz.
