One of those, "oops, what are you doing here" experiences in the cellar. The cellar is really not that big, but I get careless, don't keep inventory up-to-date, shove things in randomly etc. No real idea where it came from. Modest expectations at best. Initially closed and bitter, couldn't be sure if this was the wine's personality or just a wake-up call. Somewhat surprisingly by the time it reached room temperature it was a pleasant enough drink, showing aromas of sour cherry, earth, and minerals. Flavors are more loamy and earth-bound, suggesting it's past peak and should be consumed tout suite.

Fair. Not much left of this one. A little red fruit.
