  • Startar med lite balsamvinäger, höstlöv och getmjölk, öppnar med kanel nagellack vanilj och mogna nypon, lila pion. Helt redo att dricka nu eller för något år sedan

  • A solid well-drinking Thursday night Brunello. This will not turn heads or lay down memories but it is clean, correct, and well balanced. I am rarely disappointed in 99 with Brunello, and this is no exception. I don't see this getting much better as the finish is already a bit drying as it outstrips the fruit.

  • At first, there is good richness of fruit, along with a faint mushroom note and some spice, but also showing a lot of sweet and sour oak, reminiscent of whiskey barrel. I bough this a very long time ago from Premier Cru, and I did not taste it as a young wine, but I would venture to guess that it was big and rich and "internationally styled" as a young wine, and it has now calmed somewhat but still retains a good measure of oak attributes. Still, it's enjoyable and interesting, but nona's Brunello this is not. After about three or four hours of air, it shows better balance, with the oak more in the background, and the red Sangio fruit still rich, with tobacco on the finish. Good, but I won't remember this as anything special. With leftovers from Mother Kelly's.

  • This is fully mature, and I need to drink up other bottle. Red fruit, tobacco, medium bodied,.Tannins mostly resolved, but there's a drying/astringent edge to the finish,.Others liked more than I did. B-

  • Timed this one perfectly it seems...Got it all!
Fantastic intensity and complexity on the nose.
Almost perfect brunello with great balance, structure and acidity. Amazing mature fruit that lasts all night. Extremely meaty and intense while maintaining the elegance....
Like a freight train...or Margareth Thatcher.
