Color: medium purple Nose: dark fruit and bruised apple. Tomato concentrate. A little dark flower Palate: medium body. Medium-high acidity and medium tannins, detectable on the tongue and fairly coarse. Aromatics follow the nose Finish: medium
Simple, straightforward. Food accompaniment with acidity and tannins that clean the mouth. May be a bit past its prime

This wine is getting past its drinking window if this bottle is any indication. I’ve got one more, so maybe an update later. It has that overripe finish that makes you wish you would’ve popped it a year ago.

Costco wine. $20 I was excited to see this there, as I love the DOCG. Nah, skip. For DOCG Dogliani its not in the price range for the quality. It flabbed up very fast. It was real and enjoyable but don't recommend and I would not buy again.
Poured 2 glassed, then gassed and fridged. Pungent tar nose, deep black, raspberries, cherries, some bay leaf, some herbs, rich flavor with spine and spicy tarry finish. Quite delish, rich rustic. I would even go so far as to describe garrique being in there.

Unremarkable. But drinkable. Would I buy again? Nope.
