Showed so well, side by side with an06 auslese and this showed more youthful? Incredible primary yellow tropical fruit, peach, spices, stone fruit minerals on the nose palate is crisp with a kiss of honey and an orange insane long clean finish

PnP. Light slate golden. Nose stone fruit, some wax. Palate fleshy apricot, honey, tangy oranges, bright acidity. Layered, so complex -- unfolds as it sits in the glass, yet deceptively light in texture; blind, on the PnP would have guessed a recent vintage kabinett, but could see it showing its depth with more time. Still very vibrant and young, wouldn't hesitate to hold for longer. 92 pts

I wonder if this was a correct bottle. Lots of yellow apple and line and honeydew in the nose, but this has fully digested the sugar and and tastes dry, and is slightly burnt through the midpalate. Still drinkable but not what I would have expected.

Rieslingfeier - BYOB Main Event (Rouge Tomate, NYC): Nice to encounter this again after my only bottle a couple of years ago was corked. Thanks David. It comes across very youthful and primary still, not showing the same developed complexity as the '97, but it's made of the same material with fantastic purity of fruit, great balance and a really crystalline palate presence, and I imagine this will only keep getting better over the next few years.
