Rieslingfeier - BYOB Main Event (Rouge Tomate, NYC): Absolutely stunning. Youthful Mosel fruit, minerality and florality coming together so seamlessly with the start of developing creamy and smoky notes, and all conveyed with that elegance and finesse that always marks Schaefer's wines.

Surprisingly youthful with a core of fresh citrus, apple and pear fruit over a mineral base with just the faintest hints of development. There's fantastic acidity underneath that keeps it very vibrant and precise; a wonderful sense of lightness and elegance on the palate and great length. Fantastic. Schaefer always seems to deliver.

This wine is a darker yellow in color, almost gold. This wine looks great for being almost ten year on. Not lots of acid so I don't think this is a legend, but its great drinking right now.
